Charles Park from Powertrix is the Freaking Man
Like the titles says. I've been debating on coilovers for last couple weeks, going back and forth on cheaper options before finally pulling the trigger on some much more expensive Powertrix UltraLites.
I sent Charles an email yesterday morning with what I was looking for for my car, and what I was concerned about with coilovers also. He got back to me within minutes asking to call me when he got a chance to chat more in-depth. 40 minutes later my phone rings, it's the man himself and we must've talked for an easy hour. About Z's in general, and about his product and all the differences between the different PowerTrix options. He pointed me in the right direction with serious honesty, and was able to extend his New Year's sale to me as well. This guy knows his stuff, and PowerTrix is exclusively aimed at Nissans so it's a lot easier, as he puts it, to find the perfect setup in designing a system for our cars with a lot more time put into it than someone like BC who has a system for every single performance car ever. My best bud has PowerTrix on his Z32 Twin Turbo as well and they are indeed awesome on his car. All in all I am super excited to get them in the next couple days and will be posting a full review of course. But for now, Charles is the coolest most down-to-earth guy around. Anyone even considering coilovers should talk to him and consider his stuff. My Ultra Lites will also have a rubber top mount instead of pillowball for slightly more comfort on street, which Charles happily swapped out for me at no extra cost. He also said any issues whatsoever he will be there for me. World-class customer service! |

Exactly why I went with him. Great service and he remembers his customers. Being in SoCal, I could easily drive to him in San Diego if needed.
