My Unfortunate Issues with Z1Motorsports. Let me start out by repeating what Trips said in the above thread, "(this is) not meant as away to start complaining about other things." Anyway I burned through my current Carbotech brakes over the weekend at the track and need new rotors as well. So I called Z1 and put together an order of a set of XP10s for the front and XP8s in the rear and the cheapest set of blank rotors they had (want to see how much worse they are if any). So they put the order together. And I asked to check my prior order for a note about my past issues and some credit/discount John@Z1 noted on that order. NVA Sport Front Brake Rotor 2 $118.00 NVA 370Z / G37 Sport Rear Rotor 2 $118.00 Carbotech Performance Brake Pads Akebono (Sport) FRONT - Pad Type XP10 1 $199.00 Carbotech Performance Brake Pads Akebono (Sport) REAR - Pad Type XP8 1 $154.00 Sub-Total: $589.00 FedEx (Fedex Ground): $70.48 Pre Discount Total: $659.48

sucks your experience man
I personally made 5 different transactions through Z1 spending a significant amount in total. Not once did I have any issues. In fact, one time they sent me a free jug of race oil by accident with my order of down pipes. The oil added so much extra weight that my shipping was an additional $20 or so. I emailed them that I didn't order the oil and I was charged for the shipping of it and within 24 hours they reimbursed me the full shipping charge and told me to keep the oil! Sucks you had a bad experience. Try touching base with them higher up and deal with a manager, I'm sure its still a situation that can be fixed!

As an independent observer (having not read the backstory link), it would appear you are being given the proverbial finger.
Whether you deserve it or not is not for me to have an opinion. What you are describing though would be the equivalent to telling your barber or waitress, "sure, i'll tip you" and then giving them 50 cents. |

I've also had a similar experience with Z1, its like after you pay for a part you don't matter anymore. The communication is just not there nor is there a want to communicate on their side. Oh well..

No I asked to make sure the total was correct twice. He said that's the best he can do because they are not Z1 products and any less and they would be taking a loss on the sale.

I've always had good experience with Z1, the way they are treating you is shocking to me. Good luck OP.

I logged into my z1 account just to double check everything. They did mess up and list the shipping as residential instead of commercial since it was being shipped to a garage. But the discount is actually $25 (~4%) listed below.

Anyway I am happy for one thing, I ordered the parts from Forged and they were listed $10 cheaper overall and I got free shipping. So I guess It all worked out in the end. /thread
