Hey everyone . Just recently got my first Z! A 2010 370z base model with 60K on it. It just hit 63k. How often should I be changing my oil?

Oil change/service newbie questions
Hey everyone . Just recently got my first Z! A 2010 370z base model with 60K on it. It just hit 63k.
How often should I be changing my oil? And also... do you guys recommend I take it to a local nissan dealership for oil changes and service? I'm hearing my brakes sorta squeak lately too so ultimately I wanna find my everything shop . I'm not a DIY guy, but love my Z and want to ensure its long term health! I live in SF if there are any Z owners out there that are aware of good shops. Thanks everyone, and looking forward to learning lots from the forum!! |

Have you tried the search function? Or use your favorite search engine and add site:the370z.com at the beginning of your search string. All of the questions you're asking have already been asked and answered many times on this forum.
And no one on here can tell you how often you should change your oil any better than your owner's manual can. If you are truly serious about knowing when to change your oil, get a kit from Blackstone and sent in an oil sample for analysis. They will give you recommendations based on actual contaminants in the oil in your car.

There are 14 bolts and three body snaps you have to remove to take off the cover under the engine. If you're not a do-it-yourself guy that puts oils changes out of your reach. (plus those things are easy to lose, I've bought a bag of the body snaps and got a set of the bolts from the dealership)

2010 called for oil/filter change every 3750 miles. Current Z's since about 2014 call for 5000 mile oil change. Don't do it yourself. Take it to a dealership or Quik-Lane type place. |

Don't live in the SF area, so can't tell you where to go. People will give you a thousand different opinions on how and when to change your oil. The oil from the Nissan dealer is $$$$$ a quart. I, myself use Mobil 1 0w-40 euro oil from walmart. A lot cheaper.
