Make sure the bolt is the proper grade.

A good place I turn to for OEM is courtesyparts.com

Always seem to have good luck with them.

Yeah, with the suspension pieces you want the heavy grade. Shearing a bolt going around a turn sounds like a horrible time.

How about getting it from the dealer.

For important bolts like this, I always get the OEM bolt from the dealership unless you can get the exact specs of it to buy the replacement from the hardware store.

Remember, getting a bolt that is too strong can also be detrimental in some cases along with getting one too weak.

It just sucks when you go pick up a single bolt from the dealer and they want like $12 for it.

Honestly dude, if you don't even know where to buy a bolt for your car you shouldn't be working on it at all.

Metallurgy can be a very interesting science. Many people are unaware that there is a difference in grade and just worry about fitment. I just hope it doesn't give out while this person is on public roads.

Also, the OP hasn't posted again after anyone else has chimed in.

Interesting? I guess that part is subjective. My dad is a retired ME with specialization in metallurgy and stress analysis...Having him launch into a 2 hour dissertation on the science of the subject every time 7 year old me did something like break a paperclip was not awesome. He did seem to love it though.
