Default Power steering question

While playing on the Dragon at zdayz this year noticed while coasting in heavy traffic in neutral the steering wheel is so much harder to turn in hard corners if I raise the rpms up in neutral it turns so much easier and I'm mean drastically is this normal or is the power steering pump/motor going out. 14' nismo if it makes a difference. Any advise is appreciated

Hmm,should be heavier when the revs goes up..but i know if idling below 500rpm,it is very heavy.

Normal, the Power steering pump is much weaker at idle.

You have several things working against you:
The slower a wheel is turning, the more force it takes to overcome tread friction. Wide tires make it worse.
At idle the PS pump is putting out its minimum. (Same with water pump, generator, and A/C pump.)

What you are feeling is probably normal. If you are mechanically inclined, you can check pump output pressure and get a pretty good idea of pump condition.

Totally normal. Coast in gear instead of N and you won't have that issue
