Default ECU adjustment for HFC

So I got the dreaded 0430 code. I had it erased and was wondering if you disconnected the battery for 30 mins would it adjust the computer so no code would pop up? On the 300z you could reset the computer by disconnecting the battery.

It'll reset the ecu, but the code will come back. You have to get a tune to remove the code permanently.

You could try these:
https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...ir-p-3736.html

Also, if you get an OBDII code scanner you can clear the codes yourself (if you do not fix the cause they are likely to recur)...
I have one of these and it works fine for that purpose:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It connects via bluetooth to my Android phone and I use the Torque app to clear codes.

Just trolling the boards and saw this. Thank you for the link. The one for my old car would not work.

Above mentioned will work, the code however causes no real functionality problems, just a reading for a slightly off airflow temp

I got my code reader from amazon for $21 and clear it every now and then

Unless you need to get inspected in most states. Resetting the code results in "Not Ready" status on a lot of the things their computer checks, and it always seems like the code comes back while you're trying to get enough drive cycles on the car to fix the "Not Ready".

That sounds plausible, however in Illinois I can at least confirm that if you clear it 3 days before you get a test, it will pass

My code will only appear after long drives at a static speed. perhaps the OP has his more often

Simular to the "MIL" eliminators I used on my cobra ,they block the signal.
