Ok thats what i was wondering cause ive had several different people tell me they're cast iron, but when i had one of them off the other day the metal

Ok thats what i was wondering cause ive had several different people tell me they're cast iron, but when i had one of them off the other day the metal is shiny like stainless with a little bit of rust build up on some of the surfaces. I always thought cast iron had a rough finish to it even when new. Anybody can confirm?
