They shouldn't take that long to warm up (a few seconds at most). And as for flashing, it's fine. The headlights are designed to be turned on/off many times. That being said, I stopped leaving my headlights on auto because they turned on everytime I pull into my garage during the day
![]() Also, make sure you are flashing headlights on/off and not low/high beams.
