Default Electric Seat Issue

I think I know the answer but I'd love to get a consensus before ripping up my interior!
PROBLEM: Passenger seatback will no longer tilt forward.
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Had a really tall guy in the seat and, while driving and trying to focus on driving in NYC traffic, I pressed the seatback recline back switch for probably to long a time. It will, however, recline back, just not forward. All other switches work, just not the button that will make the seat back go forward.
PROBABLE ISSUE: My research suggests that I need to replace the switches on the seat. Any one want to challenge that?

Thanks for your collective help...

Before 'ripping up the interior', try doing a simple ohm check on the switch. If the switch doesn't ohm out, then replace the switch. The other possibility is that it's gotten dirty. Pull the whole switch, clean it with a spray electrical cleaner, blow it out with compressed air and reinstall.

If it's not the seat switch, check for things like open limit switches, dirty connectors, broken wiring, &c. There should be a wiring diagram in the FSM.

Both switches are indeed working except for the one direction of one switch. Can I assume that the ohm situation is ok?

Going by your comment and question, it doesn't look like you know much about electricity. I suggest finding someone that can use a VOM and read a wiring diagram to do the troubleshooting.

No.

ATM, your best course of action is to follow SouthArk's suggestion.

Not sure about the connectors but if they are the same; swap the switches and see if they work / don't work on the other adjustment (did the problem move with the switch?)
