ECUtek process and results
Hello all,
I have recently had my car flashed remotely by John Visconti. #1. There is no such thing as an "Off the shelf" tune for the 370z. #2. You will have to dyno-pull your car on the street while recording OBD data with a laptop... several times. #3. The "Canned e-tune" has a lot more involved than "upload the new file" #4. Check engine lights are now a daily occurrence (Sh*t) detonation sensors #5. Tuner's response: "If you want a better tune, sign up for the Custom tune program." This costs $300 more than the $650 already laid down. == Summary == Sean says: Getting tuned via ECUtek is not worth:
Translation: I wish I bought front camber arms instead.

That sucks, sounds like more of an issue with the tuner vs ecutek itself

I've never agreed with having a car "remote tuned". I know people will swear by it but if you are doing something as serious as tuning the car, find a way to get it done on a dyno by a competent tuner.

Also, you went from stock to EcuTek and thought the throttle response improvement was only "mild"? In my experience, my EcuTek tuned car has significantly improved throttle response over even the Uprev tuned Z's I've driven.

OP, is this the same tuner that took forever to get back to you when you first sent your files?
