intelligent key dash light question

if i turn the car off, is the intelligent light on dash flash until i start car again?,
have car 1 month and never noticed it before, ive tried locking , unlocking, doors , trunk, hood, locking manually, remote, disconnected neg. battery terminal, tried both keys..
is the light supposed to flash all the time? never noticed it before..its a 2016 1.5K

IIRC, a slow flash means the system is enabled. But I could be wrong, so I suggest that you read the Owner's Manual. If you don't have an OM, you can download one using the FSM link in my sig.

If I'm not mistaken. The security indicator light stays on for about 30 seconds. The vehicle security system is now pre-armed. After about 30 seconds the vehicle security system automatically shifts into the armed phase. The security light begins to flash once every approximately 3 seconds. If, during this 30-second pre-arm time period, the door is unlocked, or the ignition switch is pushed to ACC or ON, the system will not arm.

making sense now, never seen it before,,maybe i opened door before shutting off engine thus enabling alarm system,,,i usually kill motor and then open door which will deactivate it.
