Not even sure how to explain this, but it's almost like the body twisted or the panels moved? Passenger side gap on the rear hatch is larger than drivers side

Interesting phenomena, please help!
Not even sure how to explain this, but it's almost like the body twisted or the panels moved?
Passenger side gap on the rear hatch is larger than drivers side and the plastic shield under the hood appears to have moved, or the A-pillar moved, tearing the rubber push insert that would hold it in place. WTF happened? Never been in an accident, the car barely leaves my sight. Typical spirited driving that anyone else would do. I live in MN, is been hot for the last few weeks.. 80+. Car stays in a garage, I put maybe 200 miles on every 2 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You had something in the trunk-space and closed the hatch over it. Hatch now has a slight twist in it ...
Give the hatch an equal and opposite hoik and all will be well in the world again. |

How do your passenger get out of your Z? Maybe they grab and pull on your pillar or on your door and pull to get out of the car. But it must be extremely heavy force to misalign the pillar.
Otherwise it must be a metal erosion? |

I think BGTV8 probably is on point with his theory on the hatch. I can't explain the A pillar though. Everything is rock solid, something just moved at some point and I've never had it apart. It's really weird. I rarely have passengers so I don't think that has anything to do with it.
