Ok so i'm a noob and....
So driving home today it was a pretty humid 34*c... or 93F for you muricans.
Car oil temp goes above 100*c (212f) and I start noticing some lag/timing pull and more pronounced at 110*c (230f) which is cool since that's normal but the real question is this: Is it normal for your exhaust to sound louder as it gets hotter? Especially in the 1.5-2.5k range? I found that it was deeper/louder than normal as if the car was warming up. |

Almost the exact opposite with my car. When it is cold/warming up my exhaust is louder at an idle and while going, but when my car is warm/normal, between 210F-220F, when I am idle it is almost silent but there is a slight sound and when I'm going it is loud.

The loss of power probably has more to do with IAT than coolant temp. The ECM starts pulling ignition timing, &c, at around 90F IAT. IAT is usually a few degrees above ambient when cruising and can be 20F or more higher when sitting at a stop.
My _guess_ is that the changes made to reduce power are causing the change in exhaust sound level. Maybe the exhaust valves are opening sooner/longer to reduce effective compression.

engine runs harder when AC is on meaning louder exhaust when at idle.

I was just saying its 93 out so the AC is most likely on hence his louder exhaust lol
