Clutch braking in

Hey guys, I got a southbend clutch/flywheel, I was wondering if I should turn off the Rev match (s mode) til it breaks in? Thanks. Sent from my SM-G920T using

no.. u should be fine with the s mode on... just dont ride on your clutch, no high rpm shifting, etc.. basically just drive like a pussy in the city till break in period is done.. then u will be fine.

Is it fine to get to them high rpms once I'm in gear. I'm not shifting gears when at high RPMS just: put it in gear -> wait 1-2 seconds -> then start accelerating till 6000 rpms?

Nvm I found the instructions lol.

i would probably not go above 4k rpm if you are talking about a brand new car... atleast not for the first 1k of driving.

why would u do that? you want rev matching. unless you want to blip the throttle yourself.

Yes, I figured. I asked cuz the mechanic said something about it, but yeah, Rev matching is the way to go.

Southbend combo of the zspeed website. I suggest you talk to Joe as he can suggest which clutch/flywheel is best for you.

What makes you think you fuct it up? The recommendation is low RPMs, not low gears. Use all the gears but keep max RPMs around 3-4K or so until the break in period is over. You can drive 35 mph in 6th gear according to the owner's manual.

I am assuming you did not mean that you went 120 mph in 6th gear.

Eh, I did get to 120. But it doesn't matter. I talked with a professional and he said getting to high rpms is fine as long as you don't shift gears.
