Yokohama Advan Sport PSA

While having some light curb rash on the wifes 2013 touring taken care of, I noticed that the front and rear tires had cracks between the tread. I checked the other side, and they were showing the same thing. The car has 7500 fairly easy miles on it, so I took it directly to the dealer. The service advisor contacted Yokohama, and sent them pictures of all 4 tires. Long story short Yokohama is eating 75 percent of the cost of the tires. (mounting and balancing is on us). I'm just throwing this out so that anyone who has the same tires is aware of this, and can make sure they're not having the same issue.

wat are the manufacturing dates?

Possibly. The tires were manufactured in May 2013, car was built in July. Goodyear just issued a recall for the same thing, they're calling it a manufacturing defect. I wouldn't think the tires on her car would be dry rotted already, although anything is possible. She's getting 4 new tires for around 400 bucks.

4 new tires for 400 is a great deal.

yah, dry rotting can happen even in newish tires...but if they are claiming manufacturing defect, sounds good to me

My yoko advan sports still look fresh, never been driven on, just mounted and taken off and stored in a climate controlled room. Going to run them this year. This is just 2 of the 4.
