Anyone else feeling nostalgic?
I've spent the past 2 days browsing through my favorite builds on the forum, all the way from 2011, seems like a lot of people moved on / sold cars / still own but stopped posting... Kind of guilty of that myself.
Looking through the pics of people picking up new front lips that just came out of R&D for the first time, discussing how to crack open the headlights to paint, debating whether m310's in 19 will give a good aggressive look Those were the days fellas! Everything felt so fresh and new, the car itself had only been out for a year or two. The experiments with mods, waking up everyday to check the forum and see a manufacturer come up with a new after market part for our beauties. Threads used to grow at a rate of 10pages/day in the prime time. Brings a tear to the eye. Always had wonderful discussions with and was obsessed with the builds of several guys on here. To name a few, Simota, JasonLe, Gale, Kenchan, Docaam, and dozens more whose names, after not having browsed the forum for almost a half year, i can't remember off the top of my head anymore. Special shout out to you guys! Wanted to make sure I say some words of appreciation for this forum and the community that made it grow to what it is. Thanks to all of you guys for making this forum what it is. from the DIY guides to the FS threads to the jokes that were shared over time. I may have not met the vast majority of you in real life, but you guys made this community a great place to be. Cheers to that PS: I never ended up making a journal, mainly because the broke college student life didn't offer much to share in terms of build progress. I've gone through my stages of ricer mods and ebay-poverty modding (never ends well..) and thankfully those days are behind me. But even then, she has come a long way since! Considering getting started on a journal once I go air this summer. purchase day today

I usually check in here at least daily and there is more life here than you think.

There sure is still, but it used to be a little more active back in the day. Especially with the breath-taking build threads from when the car was still brand spanking new, and everything was being done for the first time.

Totally agree here and I see were getting new members just that they're mostly going thru old threads for all their info, and asking questions when theres a need.
In the beginning everything was new so I could understand the feeling of it now being sorta more quiet here. Many members have definitely moved on, But we're still being visited by many new members or guests who don't post much and just lurk. I totally miss the old days, But like life things change, and we have to move on with what memories we have till the new z35? Is released. Last edited by Trips; 03-22-2015 at 02:06 PM. i also lurk around a lot haha..i mean why would i post new treads when i can just search and find what i need..
imo i think its hard for ppl to keep the 370z or continue modding it is due to the small support of aftermarket parts we have compare to like hondas, subarus, etc.. but like Trips has mentioned "like life things change, and we have to move on with what memories we have" |

Very nice post Kayzee. I am another that feels very lucky to have found the right car and right online community.
I started modding pre-internet and I can't tell you what a difference having the resources and people of this community has made. I think that most here are able to push their builds further because of the knowledge base of the members. |

We are getting close to the end of the production cycle of the car so I understand it slowing down. BUT, I also know a lot of posters don't stay because they got a "search button *******" response frm some of the members. It's not so bad now but I do remember it. What we have here now are mostly long time owners...we rarely ask questions anymore because we know it all(mostly all).
Sad to say but I come back mostly for the private parts sale threads, I'm keeping my ride for a while and there are a lot that are selling off to prepare for the next big thing |

Well since we are being nostalgic, someone link up to the first thread that was posted here. Might be interesting.
