Default Could not be happier with decision to trade Challenger for NISMO

First, my way of differentiating between the two...My SRT8 was like a dominatrix; hard, dangerous and punishing. My Z is like an extremely expensive and experienced call girl, ready to wrap her long, lean legs around me all day and night.

But seriously, what a freakin blast. And the looks! Oh my god, the looks. I thought I got a lot with my SRT8, but with the NISMO I feel like all eyes are on me.

To begin with there aren't many NISMO's on the road. And with the car being black, I bet it is a first for almost all of those staring at me.

I am also pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of the Bose. I gave up an incredible Harmon Kardon system in my Challenger and never thought I would like the Bose as much. Well, today I got an auxillary cord which allowed me to hook up my iPod for the first time. I was extremely pleased. I put on Metallica's "One" and it sounded absolutely incredible.

Throw in the rev matching and, as much as I loved my SRT, I have no reason to look back.

So much performance. Incredible looks. Amazing quality.

I was debating between the 392 Challenger SRT8 in Yellow or a white Nismo...went with Nismo since the Challenger was stickered at $52,xxx and I was like

Biased, I know, but I definitely think you made the right choice. I swear i really wanted to like the challenger but so many of the design decisions made me go "wtf". Super long shift knob, strange interior configuration, and step-pedal parking brake just to name a few. The step-pedal parking brake is the one that really put me off and told me that this isn't meant to be a serious sports car but more of a touring cruiser.

In any case, welcome to the forum!

Default Design and QC issues...

The cars are having some sheet metal issues that made me a little nervous. The cause(s) is unknown, or at least has not been released by Chrysler. The issues are mysterious dents and ripples showing up in the sheet metal. Chrysler has fixed some and refused to fix others...no rhyme or reason.

There are paint issues too. Many cars -mine included- have dust-type debris under the clearcoat. Additionally, again including mine, there are tiny little paint bubbles in some car. My car had a handful of them.

Well don't get too excited about Nissan's paint quality. I'm having some issues myself with my Nismo

Some of the cracks in the paint yes. When I first bought my Z, I took it to a body shop to get the holes in the front bumper repaired. Damn dealer put a front license plate on . Anyways, she pointed out all the "fish eyes" I had in the paint. Fish eyes is a term in the body repair world to describe blemishes that are underneath the clear coat. I have like 5 or 6 of them on the car. Looks like small brown spots, like half the size of a penny.

Now I've been noticing I'm getting hair line cracks in the paint on my bumper. If you rub your finger over it you can't feel it, so it has to be underneath the clear.
