Default '15-'18 NISMO Updates to make it look like a 2019!

This thread is for those who'd like to update their 2015-2018 NISMO's and bring it up to speed with the 2019's. A lot of this stuff could be found on this site but I wanted to gather all the info and have it all in one thread. A few minor changes, mostly cosmetic, but all are really easy to do. Here's a list of the differences along with part numbers so that you can roll around in your new '19 NISMO... nobody's going to be able to tell the difference

All 2019 NISMO's are equipped with what use to be called the "Tech Pack".

Hatch Release Button/Switch ~ $48.00
Part #: 25380-JF00A
All 2019 Z's have now finally been updated with a rear cargo/hatch release button on our center console next to the cupholder. They've finally found use for one of our three dead buttons. We can now open up the trunk from the cabin of our cars! The button is easy to find/order, but since our later model harness' don't have that option, you'll need the plug/pigtail from a donor car to plug into the button in order to splice into our cars or else it'll make wiring the button a bit of a headache.

Black Matte-Chrome Plated Door Handles ~ $69.98 each
Part #:80606-6GG0A - (RH) Passenger - 03/17+
Part #:80607-6GG0A - (LH) Drive - 03/17+
Since 2018, the Z's door handle's now come with a Black Matte-Chrome metal look. It's got a better look and FEEL than the cheap plastic-y bright chrome design door handles that all pre-'18 Z's have. These new doorhandles can be found for as low as $70 each.

Dark Tinted Rear Combination (Tail) Lights ~
Part #: - (RH) Passenger - 1/18+
Part #: - (LH) Drive - 1/18+
In 2018, the Z's changed up their rear tail lights with a slightly darker tint.

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 (Front: 245/40R19, Rear: 285/35/R19 103W)
Part #:
The 2019 NISMO's are equipped with the same tires as the 2018 NISMO's which are also found on the GT-R. Since our wheel size differs from the GT-R, it makes finding our size a rarity as it seems most tire shops don't carry any in our size. Good luck hunting down a set!

Navigation Software Update (October 2018 update) ~ $149.00
Part #:U4513-0070-810NAM
If you have a Tech, your navigation's map is probably out dated. My 2016 came with software maps from 2012. It'll run you $150 for the update from Nissan and it doesn't seem like there's a way around it.
https://nissan.navigation.com/produc...S/NissanNA/USD

Mirror Rear View Back-Up Assist Monitor ~ $580.00
Part #: 999Q6-VX300
Not many know, but Nissan threw in a redundant (If you have a Tech) mini rearview camera monitor in the '19's rearview mirror. It's the same RearView Monitor Mirror that has been available as an option for our Z34's throughout the years, one that I actually had installed in my '14 NISMO. The interesting thing is that all 2019 NISMO's are considered "TECH's" and are all equipped with the center console Navigation screen that doubles as a rearview camera screen when you put your car in reverse. With that said, they thought it'd be helpful to throw in an extra monitor in your rearview mirror! If you realllly want your car to look like a "2019", this pointless mod will definitely convince even most hardcore Z enthusiasts.

EXEDY® High-Performance Clutch* ~
Part #:
*Only on NISMO's with a 6-speed manual transmission
The same EXEDY L-PEC (Light Pedal Effort Clutch) clutch that is found on the 2018 NISMO's with a 6-speed tranny. Could be a pricey upgrade.

That's it! Enjoy your 2019 NISMO!!!

If there's any info that needs to be corrected or updated, feel free to give us all a heads up!

It's cool you collected the part #'s and such

but there's really no reason to go with the 2018+ clutch, which doesn't fix the slave cylinder issue because its . . . the same slave cylinder. It is probably more cost effective to grab an aftermarket upgraded clutch and one of the slave solutions

The hatch release button is the same button found in most Altimas, G35/37 and a few other Nissan vehicles. I added one to my Z a few years ago. Really easy mod.

The mirror/reverse camera can be found on ebay for $3xx~ish, I installed one on my '11 Nismo a few months ago.

Careful, those switches don't illuminate and simply open the trunk (2 pin connectors). The switch you should be looking for are from 2013-2019 Sentra's, 2011-2014 Muranos, and 2010-2016 GT-Rs which have 4 pins (1 power, 1 ground, 1 sensor, 1 ground).

My switch, and all the ones I have installed in the past, has the 4 wires and illuminates. Only difference in between the switches I have used is the illumination color. Infiniti is more white than amber like the Z's. Its just a simple ground pulse switch that triggers the BCM to activate the hatch release.

This thread i post pictures and directions how to do it.

Very interesting. Thanks for the heads up. Curious about the hatch release wiring.

Only thing I'd really want is Android Auto in the head unit.

Default Door handles

I can't find any pics of a black matte chrome door handle. The listing you posted on Z1's site shows the normal satin finished silver. What am I missing? I like the idea of black satin finished handles...

Does anybody figured out the correct part numbers for the darker tail lights meanwhile?

Are they 265556GG0B and 265506GG0B?
