Front end clearance issues
Is there a "work-around" for the low clearance of the front facia? I have a driveway that is angled a little too steep and occasionally I'll scrape.
Has anyone found a doable solution...I know there are air suspensions that can increase a cars clearance, has anyone used such a system for the 370Z Regards Stephen |

You can buy a $3-5k air setup... Or buy a curb thingy... I forgot the name

Thanks guys
I knew I'd get a few work-around ideas from the forum participants. A curb ramp sounds like the most workable solution and I don't have to invest thousands to customize the car. I'm hoping that the curb ramp can be secured to prevent someone else from stealing it and that the HOA will allow me to install it.
Currently I am approaching the curb at an angle as suggested and that does well too. Thanks again to all Figtuna Last edited by Figtuna; 04-14-2015 at 11:15 AM. |

Ask Mr. Onzedge, but I believe it bolts together and weighs several hundred pounds. I wouldn't be too concerned with someone walking off with it. HOA is another matter, though

I automatically pull in and out of my driveway at a angle. I try and angle it as much as possible both in and out. The curbs in my development are the angled ones. I even run over the grass that's between the sidewalk and curb to get a bigger angle. I don't care if the grass dies, protect the car!

No way in hell would I buy those things for that $$$ I's rather bold down a 2x8 in the gutter/curb connection for $15. Then again, I rather ride stock height so I don't scrape and slam everything on the craptastic rounds in Houston. Yes I still scrap here and there, but it's not too bad.

Buy a Zspeed under tray and call it a day. If you are not hitting your lip directly it's scraping the under tray. I wore a hole in my oem tray, but now I don't even worry about it!
