New NISMO owner!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I recently upgraded from a 350z to a 370z NISMO. The car is a 2011, brilliant silver with 32k miles. All in all, I'm loving every minute I spend in the car. My 350 was an 03 touring, 6mt, Silverstone with orange leather. It was my first Z and I owned it for about 4 years. I bought the car with 92k miles, and when it hit 140k I decided it was time for an upgrade. I absolutely fell in love with the Z platform over those 4 years, so I used it as a benchmark to refer to when weighing my new options. I looked at Caymans, but I really didn't want anything less than an S, and the only nice ones in my price range had the IMS issue. E46 M3's seemed too dated, had too many seats, and not enough curves. I really liked the looks and uniqueness of the M Coupe, but it felt too prone to understeer compared to the 370. My grandfather, the guy who got me into this crazy obsession when I was a toddler, was a corvette guy. The last one he owned before he passed away over a decade ago was an 01 z06, so naturally that was one of the first cars I drove. In all honesty guys, it was more fun to drive than the NISMO. One day I really would love to have one as a track car, I just wanted something newer and more refined as a DD. This brings me to the NISMO. I would be lying if I said I wasn't sold after the first time I drove one. I quickly realized that the car had all the great characteristics of my 350, and some. I've never quite experienced a car with this much grip - the thing is just so.damn.planted. I could go on and on (as if I already haven't) but you guys get the picture (below). Excited to be a member of the forum! |
