New to me!!!
Fellas/Ladies...I finally pulled the trigger! I'm beyond grateful, thankful, and happy.
I'd say I'm decently active on this forum, so I'm sure you all have seen me post here or there. More recently, I started a thread describing my shitty stealership experiences. I've been looking for "the one" for quite some time now. I'd say over a year. I was driving a 2016 TRD sport full cab Tacoma up until today and I just crossed 46k miles. I bought it brand new and it was in great shape. I've been wanting the 15+ nismo, in red or silver, for a while now, but I never had a good enough reason to sell the truck. Plus, I didn't really want to waste money when I didn't have to. However, something happened where my wife needed a car, so we bought a 4runner - love that thing! So here I am with a Taco and a 4runner...I figured if not now, then never lol. Coincidentally, my brother bought gt4 (I know) a couple weeks ago and my itch for the nismo got REAL. I've always told myself I'd never get a black car, but when I found this one for the price it was listed I couldn't pass up on it. Long story short, I had to travel to PA from MD to make this deal happen. As a matter of fact, I had to make the 2hr drive twice as the first time I went they couldn't let me leave with the car because Nissan Corp. didn't send the title to the dealership yet. Just goes to show how quickly I jumped on the car. I must say my salesman and the GM treated me great! It's always nice to have a salesman who is just as enthusiastic about cars as you and the GM's wife whipped around a stick 350Z. This was a relief especially considering how my other previous dealership experiences went. The nismo is a 2015 CPO, one owner local trade-in (for a juke..) with only 12k miles and tech package. I'd say the overall condition of the vehicle is about 8.5/10. There are some scratches here and there and the steering wheel is showing some wear. Other than that, it's great! Mechanically it shifts and pulls strong. Undercarriage looks clean and there's no curb rash. The way I'm looking at it is this will be my DD. Now I don't have to worry about getting that initial scratch here or there and I can just enjoy driving the vehicle! I'm looking forward to getting it completely detailed/ paint corrected inside and out though. Here's the kicker...I bought this nismo with...(essentially) $0 out of my pocket. YUP. I negotiated an even trade for my truck. I think this is partly due to the fact that dealerships in this area predominately sell trucks as it is a farm area. This is why I was fine with buying a black car with some scratches here and there. I thought it was completely worth it and that I got a great deal. I mentioned "essentially" because I still have to get the car inspected in MD, but that's whatever. I'm also thinking about wrapping it in a nardo gray. We'll see. I'll certainly be enjoying this car and I'm happy to finally own my dream car. IMG_20180724_172947274.jpg Last edited by babyzilla; 07-24-2018 at 06:19 PM. |

Congrats! Finally lol.
For that dealership, it would be much much easier to resell the Tacoma than moving the Nismo, sounds like it was a win-win for all parties.

I'm glad things finally worked out for you,and you got your Nismo! It's a hella of a ride!
It took me several attempts to get my Z, also 3 hrs. Away in another state, it was worth it. Ride on and enjoy |

Congrats. Hard to beat the price!
Nardo gray is an awesome color if you do choose to wrap it. I think its one of the best looking wrap colors you can do, especially on a Z. |

Congrats! I had a very similar experience with getting a great deal on my '13 Sport... dealership was in the middle of rural farm land in Louisiana pretty far from the highway. The Z was the only non-truck on the entire lot, and had been sitting unsold for months.

Black is a 2nd job. It's worth it though. No other color can compare when clean. Just take care of the paint and you will be golden. Black car hints: Make sure to wash the wheel well's with a mitt dedicated to just that, Wash the door jams every time, and Window tint is your friend.
