Default Good thing I didn't sell the Nismo car cover

Why?

Well as it turned out, I had a 2010 Solid red Nismo and sold it to buy a boat back in 2012 and hence, kept the car cover.

As of yesterday though, I'm back in the saddle again! I purchased a new pearl white 2015 Nismo with the Tech package and the 7-speed automatic tranny! This car is by far a much better Nismo than my 2010...and I loved that car! The revised body work, the front facia, the wheels and accent painted calipers, the Reccaro seats, paddle shifters, Bose stereo, and GPS/blue tooth are all welcomed additions to an already awesome sportscar.

Several people have asked why I didn't pop for a Camaro, Mustang, corvette or Mopar and my reply is...and follow the herd! You sees those cars every where but the Nismo...very exclusive and rare, there might be a handful of Nismo's in Birmingham!.

Does anyone know where I can find the serial number plate (Not the VIN#) that use to be on the center council of previous Nismos? I can't find it and I'm wondering if they stopped numbering the cars. I hope not.

Regards
Stephen Newton

They did stop numbering the 370z Nismo. I believe it was because you can get the nismo in other models as well.

Nice car. I will have one in the next few months. Thinking pearl white but not too certain.

Grats, we have the same car. Seems pearl white 7AT+Tech is _really_ popular.

No number plate in the 2015 Nismos though, unfortunately. As soon as they expanded Nismo to GT-R, Juke, Note, etc. it lost a lot of its exclusivity. You can always compare VINs if you want =P

Thanks Guys...Nice to be seated again in the Nismo and the Recaro seats are awesome!

I debated the Pearl White too but the red accents, Ray wheels and the contrasting black facia really pops out at you. It's gorgeous in the white.

I also debated the auto tranny too until I had the chance to "pitch" the car into a sharp right-hander and down-shifted with the paddle shifter. Smooth as silk with the Synchro-rev which allowed me FULLY concentrate on the handling of the car thru the corner...I mean WOW, seamless! Very impressive indeed! Take it from a die-hard manual shifting guy who use to believe that a sportscar had to a manual tranny...I'm a believer!

Regards
Steve

I was in a similar boat, my dealer had two Nismos on the lot - a pearl white 7AT + tech and a red 6MT.

As much as I originally wanted the MT, I couldn't help but notice how you cannot see the sexy new red accents against the rest of the car when it's painted red. The rear view monitor in the Tech package was also a big selling point, that sort of thing should actually be standard in cars with poor rear visibility like Z. I could have added it after the fact, but it was definitely icing on the cake.

But the deciding factor was just like you, the test drive. The 7AT is quite a different experience from any other automatic transmission I've ever driven, even those with a manual mode. The paddles are part of the reason, but even in the boring D mode you can really feel it when it shifts. It's not tuned for passenger comfort in any way shape or form and that's just the way I like it
