New guy from Atlanta
Hey guys.
So I am new to the forum and currently do not own a 370z. I plan on making a purchase towards the end of the year and slowly learning all the pros and cons to what I can get and would get. I am still on the fence about getting either a Nismo or just a stock. I wanted to get a 2015 but with the release pics am not too impressed with it. I will most definitely post up a work in progress once I get the car as I do plan on putting a lot of money into it. But as of right now I will just continue to browse and improve my knowledge about the car because I do not want to listen to a word the sales guys will tell me. |

You might be able to find a cheap still new 2014 model at the end of the year. If you plan on modding for power / handling, don't buy the Nismo. If you want to add a full body kit such as Amuse, get the Nismo since it will probably be cheaper in the end.

So here is my problem. I want to at first do headers and down full exhaust system. Cold air intakes. Pulleys, etc... Pretty much every bolt on I can for performance that is not a turbo or supercharger.
I also want to do coilovers and nice set of wheels. Along with strut upgrades. I want to upgrade whole sound system. After doing research however I have seen that the Amuse kit done right can get close to 8k? Or is there a cheaper route? I do not want to do anything other than amuse, if I would put a bodykit on, thats the only one I would do. But this is where things get interesting. I thought about it. And if I buy the Nismo, I will not care to get a bodykit because I love the look. I would upgrade rims/etc and either save the original or sell them and make a little money. I would sell the exhaust and such because I would afcorse upgrade all that. So I know Nismo would cost about 5k more but since I do want to do a bodykit the Nismo might just cost less. Also because I want 13 and up I know the new bodystyle doesn't really have a lot of options for lip kits. Thats where I would be limited to amuse bodykit. Otherwise I would love a lip kit. The only trick will be is to find a Nismo with no navigation or Bose audio system. |

Sounds like a good plan. The only thing I would add to the bolt ons you suggests is I would eliminate the headers. There is really no power to be gained as the stock headers are very efficient. Unless you want to do long tube headers and then the gains are minimal. Also, if you're sure you want a body kit, I'd go with the Nismo. Like mentioned earlier, should be able to find a left over '14 at a good price especially with the body style change on '15s. Good luck with your plan and welcome to the forum.

Well until I get the car here is a shot of the bike haha.
And Mab thank you very much for that advice man. I honestly had no idea. So that's good to hear. Saving a few bucks with not doing that upgrade! |
