Z owner round two
Hi everyone! Forum noob here. I'm a proud owner of a 2013 brilliant silver 370z base model coupe with manual transmission. I bought the car on Memorial Day 2019, so I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with the car. It had 35k miles when I bought it, and it has close to 45k on it now. I do a lot of highway driving.
My first car was a 1993 300ZX in sapphire blue and manual trans I bought in high school. That car was a beaut. Sadly she got totaled (with someone else driving, I wont get into the details). Hence the title, this is my second time owning a Z. Current mods on the car aren't much. Previous owner made a few small changes: s-tune rear spoiler, J2 engineering axleback exhaust, and a painted black front lip (a tasteful change I like a lot). I haven't done much to the car: nismo v2 rays wheels and 3M gloss black vinyl on the roof & diffuser. Mod list on the horizon is a little more exciting. Short term mods (most likely this summer): drilled and slotted rotors, swift spec-R springs, 5mm wheel spacers, fast intentions catback exhaust, and possible high flow cats. Long term mods (most likely in 2021): nismo front bumper and side skirt conversion (with trim painted black), Z1 cold air intake, and an aftermarket oil cooler. (I also like the look of the amuse rear bumper .) Car is in really good shape. Only downside is peeling paint on the front bumper. I touched up the holes to stop them from spreading but it still looks like ****. I don't see a way to fix the problem except to repaint or get a new bumper. Hence the reason I'm looking at the nismo front conversion. I do most of the mechanic work and maintenance myself save for a tranny drop or timing belt replacement. I'm super glad to be here!. I'll include a couple pictures of the Z . |
