New 370z member

What's going on people? I'm new to this 370z community and want to just share my first steps with y'all. I bought this on December 8th, 1 day before my birthday (the 9th) so im pretty stoked! I enjoy every second in it

but this is my first standard car & im just wondering what is the proper rpm to up-shift. It has a nice aftermarket exhaust so the sound gets louder quick so kind of throws me off when to shift. Ha, im sure y'all advanced ppl could help. Thanks

Shifting all depends on what you're doing. If casually cruising, shift around 3k. If gunning it, don't be afraid to tickle the red line

On medium to heavy traffic or city driving, I shift every 2k. If I want to go a little bit faster but still be economic, I do it every 2.5k. Anything past that is me screwing around.

You can also change the the shift indicator, I have mine at 5k, personal preference.
