Hi! New Z Owner Here!
Hi everyone,
I just bought my first Z 3 months ago and love it! I bought a 2012 6MT base. So far I am noticing it need significantly better tire than the Sumimotos currently on it and some better brakes, but other than that it is a blast to drive as my daily and up in the canyons. Excited to take it to the track later this year. |

Welcome to the 370Z forums. Post some pics of your Z if you can. As for tires I have always liked my Yokohama’s. Check out this amazing forum! If you plan on doing canyon runs plan on doing a brake upgrade on your Z safety first.

Welcome to the forum.
Enjoy the drive. Tires, something like Michelin, Dunlop, Yoko's max performance tires. Brakes. Flush out the old brake fluid and use Motul 600, or 660 DOT 4 fluids. Pads, ditch the stock pads. Get a performance pads. And since you got a manual. Flush out the clutch fluid and use the Motul brake fluid. Also wrap the clutch line down by the exhaust with insulation of some kind. This will help keep the heat from the clutch fluid.

Flushed out the clutch fluid (was basically black sludge), put Motul 600 in and felt a significate performance increase in the canyon last weekend. I just got some SS lines, DBA Slotted rotors and Hawk HP pads from Z1; hoping to get those in towards the end of the month! |

What would be a good insulation material to wrap the clutch line by the exhaust?
I changed my fluid to Motul 660 Dot4 but did not think about your very good suggestion on insulating the line. |

So I put the rotors and Hawk Pads, all new fluid and put on the stainless steel lines and WOW. the car's braking response SO much better.
I was going to toss up some photos, but I got errors while uploading (probably too big), when i have a minute ill toss some up. |
