From G37s coupe to 370z
Hello all!
So I've lurked this forum over the years but had a black 6spd G37s. However after 3 years a deer felt I didn't need the car anymore and caused me to slide against a guard rail... her name was Isabella! She had Stillen gen 3s, m370, GT Haus full cat back, 4.08s, kwv3s, twm short throw, vossens and a few other goodies... hoping to move a lot of these over to the Z. Last picture of her before the accident And sadly after... R.I.P. Isabella 12/23/16 Then on 1/26/2017 I found and purchased a pearl white 2011 6spd sport with everything but Nav and 40k miles.... Meet Hitomi!

Welcome to 370Z ownership!
You had a nice G37 there! Too bad it's gone. I was thinking of picking up one for my DD. Let us know your thoughts on the 370Z and how it compares to the G37. I'm thinking that it will probably feel a little more nimble?

Oh deer!
...but every cloud has a silver lining - or white, in your case. Nice cars.

First impression is the cars definitely a little more responsive in throttle as it doesn't have as much weight to pull. (pretune for the G of course) Steering is much stiffer and tighter in the Z. On the flip side the G is much quieter and a much smoother ride. It also feels roomier... and has much better visibility but surprisingly the Z still feels a bit bulkier than I expected... not as though. And this rev match is addicting! Lol

And thanks everyone for the compliments! I will say the Z puts a bigger smile on my face so far.

Sorry to hear about the G man but congrats on the Z. I made the same move last summer from a G coupe to a 6mt Z, but it was voluntarily not due to an accident. In the coming weeks/months you will be wondering why you hadn't considered making the switch earlier and under different circumstances of course. The Z's feel like such a raw driving experience compared to the G's and I am definitely a rev match fiend at this point, especially with Gthaus's midpipe and axle back. Enjoy the car man and welcome.

Sorry about the G, that was a nice car, but I'm a believer in "things happen for a reason"...and you arrived here with a new Z, maybe you'll find out the Z is the car you always were meant to have in reality, in any case, I'm sure you'll love the Z cause even if they're not perfect, they're an awesome car. I know I love mine since I got it in Nov and feel like I should have gotten this car years ago instead of my Eclipse GT I had.
Congrats again and welcome as an "official member" now......Glad to see another Z aboard and with what you did to your G, I can't wait to see you put up a build tread of Hitomi...

Thanks everybody! Yeah leaving the G was bittersweet, but the Z gives me more smiles. I loved my G. I really did... but this Z just gets me more excited! I can't imagine once I get my intakes, mani, rear gears and tune. It's gonna be amazing.
I'll definitely have a build thread. I have big plans for my Z. I'll put a link in my dig when I make it. I plan on building it up pretty quick too. If all goes to

I have both. Despite the similarities, the Z is WAY better in my opinion. Driver feedback is much better, brakes are much better, steering is much better. They are two different cars and really get much better feel and experience with the Z. The G is for the driver who wants comfort and touring. The Z is for the driver who wants the raw and pure driver experience.
