09 370z sport manual 12k miles
Bought someone's garage queen that he foolishly traded in on a mini. 12k miles. $17,000. Amazing. Came to the 370 from sc300 arena. Loved sc300s more than any car, and turboed they are awesome. But high strung and heavy.
I was gonna get a perfect turboed sc from Connecticut. Got it looked at and it had issues with the r154 swap. Crap. Then I was on a5s and s5s. The s5 is bad ***. But my mechanic buddy said to me one night over beers "what can I do to convince you to not buy a German car?" I even was gonna get an sl55 at one point. Can be had in good, shape for 20k or so. Back and forth. On autotrader all hours of the day and night. G37s coupe. I drove one and it was underwhelming. Audi tt, too small and German. I swore for a month I was gonna get the n54 135I but turbo issues scared me. Z4m coupe. Loved it. Too expensive and hard to find. All the time, the 370 was there on the side of my mind saying "here I am. Japanese reliability, extensive heritage, passion for racing." but id see an old lady driving one and I would get pissy because it wouldn't be rare enough. Which is bs because it's pretty rare. Months this went on. Super into a car, then back off it. All the while trying to find the unicorn turboed sc with 400hp and a clean body. Then a Z appeared at my local BMW dealership that I drive past every day. Looking all beautiful out there on the lot. Figured why not. Lets drive it at least. Figured it would be similar to the g37s. Was I wrong. Quicker, tighter, more responsive, better braking. Holy cow. Wasn't feeling the synchromesh at first, but now I love it. Lowballed them, they accepted and I was almost forced to buy it. Being so up on prices I knew a mint sport at 17 was a pretty good deal. So here I am. A super satisfied 370z owner. My wife, who's been great with my sc300 modding says to me "wow, this car is awesome, you won't even have to modify it". Hahaha. |

The G's do not compare to the Z's. The G handles and behaves differently. Less sports car and more touring for me. Congrats on your Z pick up. Lots of things you can do with it. There are a few unique Z issues you will need to be on top of. Search and you shall find. Have fun modding.
