Trying out the 370z
Gone through quite a few cars in the past. Decided to try the 370z out. Found a 2014 370z Graphite color Touring with the sport package only with 5000 miles. Got it the day after X'mas. Great present to me.
The car has some after market parts to it. It has the short Stillen CAI, Swift springs, and H&R wheel spacers 20/25mm. I think it has every options available. I wished I had test drove a 370z before I purchased a 2014 WRX a year ago. For what I paid, the WRX had nothing compared to this Z. The stock suspension sucked big time, the shifter was very vague felt like driving a truck. On the way home after picking up the WRX I almost crashed as the car did not stop as well as I expected. Eventually, I changed the suspension, short shifter with different bushings and brake pads made the WRX more capable. The final straw was it burned oil. A brand new car that ate a bit less than a quart every 3k miles. Subaru said it is normal, right! So I sold it. My impression on this Z has been positive. It is very composed when pushed. Granted the stock Bridgestone tires are loud and not so good in wet conditions. I will drive them unitl they wear out then switch to something different. I especially enjoy the inside of the Z. The instrumentation lay out is wonderful. The ride is comfortable even with the Swift springs. The H&R wheel spacers 20/front, and 25/rear really made the car looks badass. However, I am going to remove them as I have not problem with the stock look. The stopping power is amazing with the sport package. Light years ahead of the WRX. The clutch engagement is a bit high and I guess it is normal for the Z after talking to others. I also have a 2012 Miata. I would rate the Z's handling a bit heavier but very capable compares to the Miata. The Miata feels a bit raw compares to the Z. The noise most people complain about does not bother me much as I am used to a convertible. Looking forward to participate in this forum. Jeff Last edited by jliu; 01-10-2016 at 04:12 PM. |

Your clutch is high but be ready for it to go down low.
Welcome btw.

Yeah, I read all about the CSC issue. I am just going to cross my fingers and hope it does not happen. I will do what I can to prevent(if that is even possible)it by changing the fluid frequently.

Sorry to say this - not the fluid, it is the part Nissan used. I replaced mine twice now. I am on my third ---- failed at 6K and 59K. Master cylinder sucks too but I still
