Default Hoping I Made The Right Choice

Hey guys! Brand new here. 3rd official car forum though. I pick up my Z this Monday. The excitement still hasn't kicked in. I think it will as I get closer to the date. It is one of my dream cars afterall. Next up is a GT-R. haha. Anyways, It's a grey 2009 base Z w/ nav. No fancy Rays or bigger brakes. I'm just happy to have my heated leather seats and stock XM radio again. My first question is if I paid the right amount for this car.

66 months which I'll be making double payments on.
3k down
Comes with 4 year (48k mile) bumper to bumper warranty since it's a CPO
$359 a month.

And yes, I'll be following AK and driving it during the winter. looking at different wheels right now with a set of X-Ice or Blizzak tires. See how it handles a Central New York winter.

My previous 2 cars were a Cobalt Sport and a Civic Si. Word of advice, don't EVER buy a Civic. They're absolute junk. I've been miserable in mine ever since I bought it.

With all that being said, I'll be glancing over the forums all weekend and look forward to talking with everyone more as time goes on! First mods will be a better shift knob and the Nismo exhaust. Twin turbos will be coming soon enough

Congrats and welcome!

I definitely enjoy having the touring package. Post some pics after you pick her up Monday.

Thanks! Seriously can't wait. I want to do a proper photoshoot with it though for you guys. Been doing shoots of cars now for a few years. I'm just happy and shocked I got a 2009 Z with 17k miles on it with a 4 yr warranty for under 21 grand. Life couldn't be better. I do question how much the girlfriend will want to have sex with me even more now though....

Since you have an '09, look up the steering lock fuse on the search and pull it as soon as you can (if it hasn't been done already).

You will change your mind about the exhaust.
Just so you can decide better, My Top 3 exhausts

1) Fast Intentions - 3 Months lead time, Dont waste a single day if you go this route
2) Motordyne Shockwave
3) ARK

Good luck and welcome to the forum

Totally forgot about ARK exhausts! I'll have to go research youtube videos later on different exhaust tones. And as for the steering lock fuse, I'll def be pulling that right away. Never even knew the car could fail to start from that. All I read was about the oil issue.

Agree with Memphis, the touring is a great set up. Would love to see some pics when you pick her up.

Last thing its only money, they always print more. Have fun while you can.
