KW Review with Photos!! Build Journal coming soon
Hey Guys,
Update Photos, with everything installed. Review: KW V1 The 2011 G37 OEM stock Sport Suspension is very well balanced. The G37 is a GT car, with that in mind Infiniti wanted to make the Sport Suspension smooth but provide good road feedback for the driver without being too harsh. I feel they did a very good job for what you get. I will put this out there, if you want to really amp up your ride and change the ride and looks of your car! You are going to want a Coilover Suspension system! This is my view only and my personal recommendation. I feel the KW V1 Coilover with Eibach Sways, and GTSPEC, may be the best handling package for the G37. KW did an excellent Job with fine tuning there Suspension, with the KW V1 you don’t have to make any adjustments. All you do is set the ride height and you’re done! The KW V1 makes the 2011 Stock G37 Sport Suspension feel disconnected and harsh!! Car was tested for about 4 hours of road driving. Back roads, high speed turns, and high speed highway driving. The Shocks on the KW with their springs are nothing short of amazing!! Not only are they smoother then Stock but also stiffer! I don’t even know if the word Stiff should be used. The damping is just flat out amazing! The KW shocks just absorb every road bump you could find. No bouncy bouncy! at all. No road noise just smooth, road connected feeling. The whole car feels as one now. The whole suspension feels as it working together with the car and not against you and the car. The stock sport would feel as if wanted to fight the road all the time when you push the car. The car would always want to move into the direction of the level of road and move left or right. Now the car just moves in one in a straight line. Review: Eibach Roll Bars: I was not able to do much testing with the Eibach sways, they were set to the following. OEM Front Bar: 362 lbs/in Eibach Front Bar: P1=730 lbs/in P2=900 lbs/in OEM Rear Bar: 394 lbs/in Eibach Rear Bar: P1=627 lbs/in P2=741 lbs/in P3=860 lbs/in I settings are Front P1=730 lbs/in Rear P2=741 lbs/in I feel this is the best settings for KW V1 system, the car turns flat and has a very good connected feel to the road. GTSPEC: I have the following GTSPEC bars installed! GTSPEC Rear Lower Tie Brace: GTSPEC Front Strut Brace: GTSPEC Front Subframe Tie Brace: GTSPEC Front 2 Points Subframe Reinforcement Brace: H&R DRM 20MM Spacers installed for stock wheels. You can’t go wrong with this setup! I am very happy I took my time to research and see what was the best out. Enjoy the Photos! Rolling Shot! Stock setup: CLICK LINK BELOW FOR PHOTOS Kw Eye Candy. I actually did the same setup on my 2008 Infiniti G37S today. Installed the KW V1's, Eibach front and rear sway bars, and SPC Camber plates. Along with that, I added in 19" Motegi Racing wheels and Stillen rotors (slotted, cross drilled) and a Stillen front grille. I probably should have done the hook slotted rotors but not too worried about it. There is some rattling going on in the front right now but I'll wait to see if that takes care of itself... Work was done by the fine folks at Portland Speed Industries. They know they're stuff...Home - Portland Speed Industries BTW, I also have a full stillen exhaust, intake, and pulley. 322 whp (dynoed at PSI and on their site) |
