What the hell is this thing?

Cleaning out the car and pulled this out from under the passenger seat. Assuming it's part of the seat assembly but maybe someone could save me the trouble of digging through schematics:

If no one knows, I'll just yank the passenger seat out this weekend and see if I can figure it out. The car vibrates quite a bit so I'm not surprised something shook loose - just odd.

Mystery solved. It was part of my stock fuel system.
