Question Interesting conversation with a fellow driver...

Took my car for a drive on my lunch break, headed back to work minding my own business in the far right lane of a 3 lane road, going the posted speed limit (55 mph.) Silverado in the far left lane decides he is in a rush and needs to cross all lanes at once, right in front of me, and slow down to 40mph. No biggie, had plently of space to go around him, and didnt have to turn off cruise control or hit the brakes. Just went around and headed to work.

4 minutes after I park, same truck pulls up. An older gentleman of about 60 or so decides to tell me that I needed to learn how to drive, because he clearly had the right of way, and I was to yield to him. He also didn't understand why I was so upset about it (in re: to me going around, I suppose. Not 100% clear on that part.)

I try to explain to him that, when I'm in my own lane with no yield sign on a normal road with 3 lanes, I don't yield to the guy 2 lanes over, just because he feels like he needs to be in front of me (never figured out why he cut across 2 lanes, there was nothing for him to turn to.)

This fell on deaf ears and I eventually just walked away.

People seem to be forgetting the rules of the road. But maybe something about a sports car brings it out in people moreso than usual. While minding my business, typically with cruise control set, I haven't been flipped off/honked at/cut off/followed to work(!!)/avoided wrecks this much in my life, and I've only had my Z a few months.

Is this part of the Z experience, or should I just move far, far away from this crazy town?
