Looking for some advice (selling the Z)
I've put my car back to stock and am selling it. Carmax offered me 25k. It's an 09 Nismo with 21k miles. No mechanical issues. Paint needs to be buffed for minor scratches and has a crack in the windshield.
I feel like 25k is very low but I'm worried I can't sell it myself. I feel like it will be hard to find a buyer for a car like this. Am I being stupid? Should I stop being scared and sell it for a better price or should I play it safe and give it to carmax?

There are soooooo many people that will jump on a Nismo for $25k
Just pay $300~ to get it professionally buffed out

Oh, not sure how it is in your state, but here if you sell your car to the dealershit you're going to buy a car from, you don't pay sales tax on the value of your car that is put towards the new car.
Ex: You're buying a 50k car, 8% tax on it is $4k, $54k total If they offer you $25k you only pay tax on the other $25k, so you end up paying $52k total. Which means they essentially bought your car for the equivalent of $27k

Your insurance may cover a good part of the windshield crack. Depending on your selling audience, people will judge the car based on silly cosmetic things like that. It would cost you nothing to stop in at a windshield repair shop and ask. They can check out your insurance, price it, etc without hassle or charge.

didn't think of getting the windshield covered under insurance lol. Duh. Thanks for the advice. I think what I'll do is take it back to the Nissan dealer where I bought it and see what they say. Hopefully they'll give me 26. I just don't wanna deal with the stress and hassle of trying to sell myself
