Anyone else having trouble with Motordyne/Z1?

I ordered ART Pipes back in August from Z1. Their website said they would ship in Late August or September. Well, it's the end of December and I still haven't received my pipes. They decided to drop ship the order, so it should come directly from Motordyne. I've contacted both companies a handful of times since August and they keep extending the ship date (I only contact them after their estimated ship date has passed). The most recent time I was told by Motordyne that they would ship Tuesday (12/15) and that they would send me a tracking number. It's after work hours on Wednesday (12/16) and I still haven't gotten anything. I like to think I'm a pretty patient guy, and I get that coronavirus is making things weird, but this is getting really frustrating. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice?

In my opinion that's unacceptable. Sounds like they just trying to keep you along till they are able to get the order fulfilled.

They should be able to give you a date as to when it will get shipped and sent to you. This is part of their business. If they are seriously unsure due to issues outside of their control then they shouldn't be giving you multiple ETA's and failing them. IMO, get your money back and kindly ask them to notify you when they actually have product in stock and ready to ship. Things like this easily become a few months, to all of a sudden a year. You have been patient enough.

Any reputable company will be honest about shipping ETAs and not try to string you along. Tell them to refund your money.

Ask them for a refund and I recommend purchasing this item from a different vendor and chalk it up to experience. I’m not too surprised in the past I returned items to Z1 due to the poor service I received from them.

Did your order ever come? I was planning on ordering a Motordyne exhaust soon (albeit preferably directly from Motordyne), but after seeing this maybe I should just postpone for a while.

i ended up getting a tomei very happy even for a single that i thought id hate,i contacted MD and they had quoted me 3-4 months for shipping

also note when ordering from these companies and such a long wait a lot of debit/cc companies won't help you after x time passes

now i personally don' t think they would scam anyone since they're a well known company based on our convo which the guy was super helpful/nice there would be a wait

they take a deposit of 700 and the rest once it's being shipped i believe

That's crazy man. I mean I can understand that things are slower because of a decreased work force, but 3-4 months to even ship is a long time. I'll just have to wait until things somewhat "normalize". The Motordyne exhaust is honestly the only one that I really want, so I'll focus on other aspects of my build until then.

Here we are, 08/17/21. Did you receive yours, or did you get a refund? I ordered mine using my cc in April, was told June, called was pushed to 08/15 called, and now 12/21 could refund and get fast intentions, but it won't be here until 12/21. That sucks, and the fact I paid the cc off in June, so if it gets refunded, my cc company would have to cut me check probably receive a check-in 10/21 FUBAR!!!
