Default Which is better

I have noticed on this forum that people will stand by a certain product, service or manufactory. Brand x is great but brand z sucks.Engine build,Intakes,Superchargers, turbos, suspension, exha ust etc. This is not to say they may not be right. Some products are better but the other is serviceable also. How many people have used the x and z set up on their car so they can say one is better than the other.People should comment on the experience of a product on their car.Unless they have used x and z on their car they should not slam product they have no first hand knowledge of.

If one is semi-intelligent and able to read basic English, one can determine from various forum posts written by other forum members who have had good or bad experiences with certain products or services.

Once you formulate your opinion, then it is your choice whether or not you use that product or service. I see no reason to make the same mistake that other forum members have made and noted as a warning to all.

On the other hand, if someone has had a positive experience and recommended a certain product or service, one would be foolish not to follow the advice of others. That's why most of us are here, to share experiences, to learn and take advice from each other.

I've always said it depends upon the item. Especially with the exhaust/intake/wheel debate. People like to spend big money for a big name sometimes when something not so expensive will function just fine. If it's a garage/trailer queen I can almost agree with going with the best money can buy because it will rarely see elements or abuse but for the daily guys it's usually function. In all honesty most people can't distinguish a 370 from a 350 let alone know that the Fast Intentions catback that you spent 1200 on looks very similar to any Beluga/Top Speed/ etcetera. Plus I've seen both sides of the tracks. Here in Illinois if it's not meticulously cared for you will see rust or corrosion eventually.

Making decions on what to do to my car.
I use the opinions of people on forum who have used product or service.Good or bad.I want to know what you used and how it performed for you. What I do not like is the bickering between people when they have not tried the other product.Sometimes it is like some other forums where Ford and Chevy guys arguing over which Brand is Best.

Many vendors and products already have reviews on this site. Might be better to post a list of links to those posts instead of starting all over.

IMO, Decision making on which product/service is good or bad will also depend on the application.
