Back to a Z after a decade
Coming back to a Z seems like this is the trend lately based on the most recent posts. Almost exactly 10 years ago I decided to run my 350z into a wall at about 80mph, and as punishment I forced myself into boring cars for a while.
After having a base model Civic for seven years and a Veloster for a little over two, I'm ready to be back in the Z game. Because car values are insane right now, I was able to trade in my Veloster for almost $10k over what I owe on it and decided to put that towards a Z. I took a chance on a slightly modified 2017 base model, hoping that the low miles meant it couldn't have been beat on that badly. After realizing the previous owner neglected all upkeep and obviously abused the car, along with finding some cosmetic flaws that I wasn't willing to live with, I decided to return the car (one of the advantages of Carvana) and am currently waiting to pickup my 2013 base+sport in Dark Cherry. (technically I still have the silver one, but not driving it due to mileage limits on the return) I take delivery the day after Christmas and cannot wait to be back behind the wheel of a Z. Hopefully I can keep this one out of the k-rails. Last edited by SLOPOS; 12-22-2021 at 12:18 AM. |

Well if you're going to plow your car into a wall, US19 in Pinellas is a great place to do it! LOL. Glad you weren't injured. Welcome back to the Z! |

I wasn't a huge fan at first glance due to the 'purple' look in direct sun, but after going through the forum and the 'dark cherry' thread it grew on me quickly. My other option was the base silver which seems boring next to this color.

Welp, the dark cherry was nothing but rust underneath. Rolling the dice again on a 2014 with 11k miles, hopefully less rust. Won't get it for another week - stacking parts ready to install as soon as I get one that isn't holy or beaten lol.
