Another comeback
I've read so far a few other people have come back to the z. After quite a few recent changes in vehicles I ended up with a gti and got my wife a Q7. The gti is definitely a fast and very fun car, and I really prefer it around town to almost anything, even the audi, but as a track vehicle it just kept overheating due to the turbo and tight packaging. I wanted to go a bit more extreme so I ended up buying another member's racecar z! I took it out to one event so far into advanced hpde to test out the thing and get used to driving a manual again for the first time since my old z in 2016!
To my surprise I was very quickly catching a couple c8 corvette, a 911 gt2rs, a couple z06, audi ttrs, and several other very fast cars. I forgot how easy this platform is to drive fast! Fwd turbo is a lot harder to make go fast, and I'm so happy to be back behind an engine that really loves to be revved out! Looking forward to posting up some videos and photos soon!

Some videos
Two videos my friend took while I was getting used to this car. There are easily 2 seconds i'm leaving out on the track right now! I need more seat time with this new thing Edit: fixing the links

It's a gutted car, half cage, fixed seats, big wing, 2 piece rotors, surge fuel kit, baffled oil pan, most of the bolt ons, SPL arms and bushings, kwv3 shocks with swift springs, and other stuff as well. The car needs a front splitter, and that's what I'm working on over winter. It also needs the brake ducts routed to the front of the bumper, which I plan to route to the foglight hole in the V2 base bumper. It's currently sitting on 295 square Hoosier R7. It's setup as a NASA TT3 car.
