New from Knoxville 2014 Nismo 370z
Just wanted to say hello. Just recently picked up a ‘14 Nismo with 28k miles. I have been looking for this year in this color for some time now and one finally popped up so I jumped on it. It’s completely stock except for the wheels, which fortunately look good, (at least in my opinion). I’m probably older than most on these forums so whatever I do to the car will be mild at best. Exhaust, intake and most likely front coil overs to close the gap slightly. I also need to replace the tires at some point since the Nitto 555’s are ridiculously loud...but I will have some fun with them before I do. Anyway, my passion is more about paint correction and detailing and fortunately I believe mine was garage kept because the paint is so good. That said, like most Nissan’s I’ve owned, this one suffers from clear coat orange peel. I look forward to taking care of that. So, that’s my story. A lot of nice cars on this forum.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Sincerely appreciate it. Been looking around the forums since joining. Not a good idea. I went from, “I’m just doing some light modding” to “Wow, I need to get that, that and that”. Browsing here is costly
Anyway, on a completely unrelated note. When my son turned 16 last year, we bought him his dream car which I hated, (2003 Mitsubishi Evo). I know, not a good first car for a kid but I’m a car guy and he’s a car kid. He drove for a couple of months before the clutch went out, which he replaced by himself which impressed me. Then some other thing happened so he pulled the motor, fixed the issue, (or so he thought). Painted the engine bay, did a wire tuck, etc. Put it all back together and that lasted a month before sitting in my garage for another 2 months before he was finally able to sell it. So, we found an extremely clean low miles 2005 350Z Touring. Stock except a very nice sounding cat back GReddy exhaust. Hopefully he learned his lesson from the last car and just enjoys having a sweet car at 17 yrs old. At least he’s part of the Nissan family now. Last edited by 13Xterra; 06-25-2017 at 11:27 PM. |

For some reason I didn’t realize there were more replies to this post.
@Z-Girl 12 - Thank you @DrNumbers and @Quicksilvers - Thanks for the compliment on the wheels. On my Youtube channel some guy made a comment on one of my videos that he couldn’t believe someone would take the stock Rays off and and replace them with that “rubbish”. Some people have nothing better to do with their time. I love the stock Rays but the wheels set the car apart a little. Anyway, here is my youtube channel pretty much dedicated to my 370z if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzH...KWVB-HrWrOk4nw Thanks, Paul |

Thanks @yellowwolf, ZeeingAround, and @Spoiler.
@echoshotz, I am assuming from your signature that the Fast Intentions is your exhaust? If so, i would love to hear it in person. My Nitto tires are so loud I can’t hear the stock exhaust at all so the tires are going first, then I’ll get an exhaust. I saw a few Nismo’s at Cars and Coffee the other day but none were red or 14’s. I’ll be in touch soon over pm and maybe we can get together for a few minutes and take a couple of pics. Thanks, Paul |
