Port and Polish Lower Intake Questions
I am scheduled to get a port and polish on my lower manifold tomorrow. I have a few questions however. I already have the plenum mod so im looking to find out about the lower manifold now.
1. Can I lose power from this mod? 2. Anything I should ask for? 3. Has anyone done this on the forum with any feedback good or bad? 4.Normal power gains from this mod? ( I know this is probably unanswerable due to too many variables) 5. Is this mod worth it to you? Explain why. I have done a few searches on here but have been unsuccessful in finding much on this so if there is already a page for this please share it with me. |

I didn't port & polish the lower intake manifold . I only ported the HR plastic intake manifold before Z1 took the same idea after on the VHR. I didn't had the chance do to a before & after dyno due to budget reason. Z1 did with the VHR IM, and showed gain. as far as the lower intake manifold , I feel you wont see much of any difference unless you also do the head. but at the power level the VHR does, It probably wouldn't be worth it. the VVEL isn't aggressive enough and then the VVEL already flow very well from factory. After what happened to Synolimit thread on his research on this topic, we are still waiting on his finding. |

I'm going one step further and extrude honing my lower intake runners. I will let you know what the results are when I get the lower intake back from the shop. My car goes on the dyno September 3rd.
