Default Stock Cat Replacement

I searched but could not find exactly what I'm looking for. I currently have a Stillen CBE and the sound is great. I'm looking to replace the stock cat's and would like recommendations. I do not want to purchase LTH's as i believe that money would be better spent on a turbo setup. Emissions is not an issue where i live. Exhaust smell is also not an issue as i also drive a WRX with 3" turbo back exhaust and am used to it.

I'm looking to maximize HP and minimize rasp.

If you have a setup similar to mine or know someone who does, please tell me about it. Also, please give your recommendations.

Thanks!

Based on your needs, HFC's would be the way to go. Since you already have a Stillen CBE, perhaps you want to stick with Stillen HFC's? If not, then I would suggest Berk HFC's.

TP's would give marginally better HP numbers, say 3-5HP, but it would be raspy.

As FYI, if you plan on going FI later, keep your stock cats as FI/HFC's don't work very well together, especially if you go down the SC path.

G/L.

High Flow Cats (HFC's) or test pipes.

Stillen = Crap. Their HFC's will fall apart. Get resonated test pipes if youre not worried about the smell or emissions, I suggest Fast Intentions.

I am leaning towards the test pipes. Is there any substantial gain difference between resonated and non-resonated?

Am i just paying more for a "refined" exhaust sound?

The gains are the same, but you'll have no rasp with resonated.

I have Agency Power CBE, and Test Pipes installed last month, I have no reference to the difference in HP, but my numbers in the quarter mile dropped 0.2 tenths.

I've driven the car for about 2000 km and canīt stand the noise, sounds too loud specially at low RPM's, so I ordered the Stillen HFC's and I will be installing this weekend.

After the next track event, I will be reporting.

As others have already said, the pieces you are looking for are either High Flow Cats (HFCs) or Test Pipes. On a non-FI'd car, the test pipes will generally get you a few more HP vs. the HFCs.

I will be ordering my exhaust set-up soon, and plan on going with Fast Intentions resonated test pipes and Fast Intentions TDX Catback with 18" resonators.
