Resonated test pipes
I am thinking of adding a set of resonated test pipes to my NISMO exhaust (the "stock" NISMO, not the S tune). I am considering Fast Intentions pipes or Motordyne's A.R.T pipes. Does anyone have any experience with either brands? I am curious how much rasp and other unwanted sounds these pipes eliminate. Are they even worth the money? Motordyne's pipes are about $240 more expensive. Any input would be beneficial.

I have a set of Fast Intentions Res TP. They are nice and didn't produce that much rasp for my set up... However, that has changed since I have gone single exit. From what people say for the least amount of rasp with out sacrificing power it would be best to go with the ART Pipes. That being said, if you don't mind a little bit of rasp/drone (depends on your setup) and want to save money I would opt for resonated TP instead. Also there are other manufacturers that make res TP. GTM would be one I would consider as well.

Thanks guys for the info. I am still a little hesitant about the rasp/drone. I am leaning back towards HFC's. I like that you mentioned Z1's HFC's SouthZZ. I have been looking at those as an alternative. I just have not heard of many people using them-with that said I am new to the game. Have you had any trouble with check engine lights?

Check out Berk HFC's as well. A lot of guys run them on this forum. I too am running them. Just had them installed for a week now.
Love them. The sound is awesome.......deepens the tone, great deep growl. Come to full life upon WOT......no drone or rasp upon cruising. You will feel and hear the difference. The pull from a start or rolling start with Berk HFC's is a blast. Their is one problem with them. I want to run it hard all the time to hear/feel them. Going through GAS like a motherf@#$er. Just perfect IMHO. Went we these over TP's as they were too loud for my taste, not to mention TP's typically smell bad and introduce Rasp/Drone. This of course is a personal preference as many setups here use TP's. Search the forum here. You will find lots of information to help you with your decision, not to mention Youtube. Good luck.

I have narrowed it down between the Berks and Z1's hfc's. I am surprised at the price difference between the two. Are Z1's cheap, or are Berk's over priced? Too many damn decisions!!!

Any big difference between the two? Berk is priced at about $530 brand new while z1 is 380ish. |

I purchased mine from Corner3Garage here, Nissan 370z / Infiniti G37. They are under $500.00. Corner3Garage is a great company with outstanding customer service. Not to mention they are a vendor here as well. Shop with confidence. Good luck.
