Need some help quick
So I just got my hotchkis sway bars installed and in order to install the rears you have to remove the mid pipe and some brace in order to remove the rear sway bar. Well the guy mentioned to me that the gasket could tear due to it melting from the heat of the exhaust but they didn't rip, I watched him remove everything. Now when I turn on my car the exhaust sounds louder now. And when I'm at idle there's a weird rumble/rattle coming from the back of the car and when I accelerate it gets louder. I let go of the gas and it goes away. Could I have an exhaust leak? What could be wrong? Do I need to take it back to the guy to fix it? Thanks.

Probably just a flange that didn't get tightened properly or a bad gasket. Whoever did the work should be willing to put things right.
Gaskets are cheap - I suggest replacing them every time.

Idk could the exhaust make a difference sound even if that gaskets didn't tear?

It might be the rattle from Y pipe's heat shield. Maybe, I don't know, if you still have stock Y pipe. I had metal rattling problem with my stock Y pipe's heat shields long time ago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chQUAwWAnis this is the video I posted up long time ago. see if it sounds similar to this |

Could there be a clearance issue between my exhaust pipes and the hotchkis sways? Does anyone know if they sit lower than stock due to the thicker bar?

If it says "no stream" just refresh. It'll play eventually.

... Not sure... Maybe he put the mid pipe on wrong? And no idea why he took the brace off...
I didn't even take my mid pipe off.. I unbolted it, but didn't take it off

The guy unbolted my mod pipe and just had the pipes hanging by the rubber hangers. And i told him to take of the brace toward the end of the exhaust cuz that's the only way the sway bars would come off. I just followed the DIY posted for the sway bar installation

most likely a gasket but you could be rubbing. don't drive around this way but shove a wash cloth between the sway bar and exhaust where they are closest together. if the sound stays you likely have a gasket leak. if it goes away drop the mid pipe and wrap the area where you shove the wash cloth with header wrap. that will give you something to pad between the two metals and be heat resistant

Thanks for all the responses guys. Turns out I scraped really hard and the skid plate near my resonators was bent so bad that it was touchin the pipe which was causing the noise. The tech didn't have tools to bend it back to it's correct form but he stuck a piece of a tire in between the space and that took care of it. I'm gonna go fix it this week at a muffle shop somewhere and ask them if they can bend it back. If it's not possible I'll just leave the piece of rubber wedge in there and keep on
