Need some quick help
If I wanna install some HFCs that do not have the extended O2 bung will I get a CEL? I'm interested in getting the ark HFCs and they don't come with the curved part to connect the O2 sensor. Is there anything I can do to make sure a CEL doesn't go off w/out having to tune my car? I know these are pretty stupid questions but I wanna make sure my car isn't gonna mess up after I spend money fixing it up.
My Z is my DD and right now I'm getting 18.8-19 mpg and I currently have the takeda cai and ark dts exhaust. Will adding HFCs make my mpg worse or will it hardly affect it? One last question for now. When I installed the ark dts exhaust I felt my car a little heavier on the back end and the response of the car was about the same. Will adding the HFCs make my car more responsive or will it do nothing at all? Thanks for the advice in advance!

You very well may get a CEL. Either try the spark plug anti foulers in the bung, or get a tune. The HFCs shouldn't effect the MPG other than you flooring it more often to enjoy the new power. For responsiveness, get a tune and have them tweak the throttle tables.

I forgot who posted something regarding HFCs, but pretty much he said that when he installed his HFCs his Z started messing up. Something about the CEL causing part of his engine to shut down? is this possible?

I wouldn't worry about it. You can find a horror story for anything.

In theory it should not do that, if properly installed and such.
Now on that it could happen if a bad install or the car reacts poorly to the change which would require a tune to fix this.

The spark plug non fouler works. If you get a CEL just use those. I've been running them on my turbo Mazda for 9 years in the test pipes without any issues.

Personally, I'd get tuned. You get a lot more out of it than just shutting off the cel.

So I did a little research and I saw a recommendation that the Dorman 42009 spark plug non fouler is the one we use for our O2 sensor. Is that correct?
