Stillen vs Fast Intentions?
So, Im really torn between the stillen cbe and Fast Intentions cbe (not to mentions non-res, 12 and 18). So heres my situation and id like to see what you guys say. My car atm is completely bone stock, i am going to be putting a g3 intake at the same time as my cbe at least and a tune AND if someone could push me towards it, maybe headers or hfcs but probably not. So my Z is my daily driver and i hear that F.I is the way to go (because the product is amazing and costumer service is out of this world), but is there any drone, how loud is it and should i get a 12" res or 18"? I am driving on the highway and city quite a bit because i will be living in LA. Stillen on the other hand is just a pretty solid exhaust but idk if it sounds nice. I want a loud (but quiet enough for daily driving), deep but not raspy or "droney" exhaust tone. Thanks For your guys opinion and help!

Why would you tune the vehicle? With those little 2 bolt ons?

My Z is my DD too. I have the FI with 12" resonators. There is a small amount of drone but it's never bothered me. It doesn't help my bluetooth phone but it's nothing obnoxious.
I agree with Red. You really don't need a tune with just an exhaust and intake. I'd wait until you have at least 3 breather mods before I spent the money on getting it tuned. |

Stillen isn't a bad exhaust, but I think the reason why we so so many is because of the name and availability. IMO, there are better exhausts for the same price, or less. If I were you, I'd buck up and sit in line or spend $1500 and get the brand spanking new F.I. exhaust with 18" resonators in the classified section.

Berk sounds amazing. I have personally herd both exhausts in action. Both are off the charts. Stillen is a little too tame for my tastes. A great exhaust as well, however closer to stock sound. BTW, Berk is located in Santa Ana, CA. Good luck.

I have the 18" with their LTH's and I barely hear any drone. If interested in FI, I have a friend with a brand new one for sale in the private classifieds. It's never even been opened and he's willing to ship.

Just go on the local thread and see when the next meet up is. You can hear a bunch of different exhausts and I'm sure people would take you for a ride if they knew you were interested. All you'll get here are opinions which isn't bad but they may be different from yours. Forum threads and YouTube videos only do so much. Go meet some people and listen!
