help me decide tdx or litespeed exhaust
looking to get a exhaust in the next week or so but i cant just decide between the two... although i like other exhaust system i've narrowed it down to these two exhaust and cant decide which one i want. havent heard either one in person but on the youtube clips i've seen, it sounds pretty amazing. which one would you go with? how much hp gains to expect with the litespeed? i know litespeed only have dyno charts compared to the nismo cbe is there one vs the stock cbe?

I just got the litespeed and the litespeed is what it is for - racing. I don't race and just wanted them and don't regret it. Very loud but I get compliments everywhere I go with these pipes. But nothing compares to these pipes when stomped and pushing out the Z's war cry. I have the Stillen CAI, Z1 headers, test pipes, litespeed ss exhaust and a uprev and tune from "one of the best shops" CIN motorsports. I pushed a 318whp on their mustang dyno from just these bolt ons. They are good quality. Might have to pull or tap to get the set up right but the Z is a tight fit anyway. The only thing I would say do different is get a great set of weld on tips. The ones that come with the set up are ok but I just like something a little more flush. Really aggressive and exotic sound. Took a guy that races a nsx out for a ride in the new set up and apologized for not being able to really hear the radio and the comment he gave me was "who wants to hear the radio when you can hear this thing scream like this". Anyway if you want to know more just ask. I'm putting together a comparison to post on YouTube soon. So I have some videos if you would like me to send them to you. I would say this if you are anywhere near NC. Take your car to CIN. These guys are top notch and really care about the quality of work they do. Go far and beyond what even you would expect. Hope this helps and you haven't already made up your mind.

Problem is... The LiteSpeed doesn't make power... Or any power over almost any other exhaust. The weight savings isn't worth the price or the HP you don't make

As an owner of a Litespeed exhaust, it's definitely not the best for a daily driver. Lots of drone if you are just cruising. Sounds amazing when you are driving hard though. Everyone I know loves the sound. It is also really loud, since it only uses resonators and no mufflers, although they are rather large resonators. No rasp. I did get fitment issues with the passenger side pipe at the tip on the SS version. I'm not sure if the Ti version has that issue. It's lighter, louder, and has a more aggressive note than the TDX, and a few hundred cheaper if you do SS. And the cheapest Ti exhaust available. The TDX has the best exhaust tone imo, good for DD and very repeatedly proven gains. The company is great and so is fitment. Weight is a little more, but in the end it's just 5-10 lbs difference. in one of the least preferable places to remove weight in our cars, low down and in the back.

I had the exact problem on the passenger side. Hard to beat FI quality and fit. Swear just once you hear lightspeed's sound that is where you get hooked. Not to mention for a couple hundred less. I will say with test pipes and headers I also have no rasp. I know you have to gain something off these things over stock. I'm no racer and new to imports so I really can't say nothing to help anyone really. Just giving my opinion. To me if you want aggressive I'm gonna kill your car and eat it for lunch sound - lightspeed... If you want chill and I got this under control sound - tdx. Z community seems to be a great bunch of people. Look forward to learning what I can.

One more thing there will be no more date talk of any kind in the car if you get lightspeed with test pipes and headers. Which just might have an upside.

Kinda related: I just got ART pipes and XYZ pipe with HFC installed with my Litespeed. No rasp unless you rev in neutral (a VERY little bit around 4k-ish if I'm picky). Drone seems better if only because the tone is deeper now. Definitely not a huge volume increase. Maybe around 3db? But at the top end, there is more volume, whereas it used to drop off a bit after 5k. I should have sound clips of me driving in about a week. I WILL have to get a more resonated exhaust if I do get headers though. For me, it's at the limit of civility because I live in an older demographic'd neighborhood.

But I will recommend TDX I base that on driving Pintsize725's 7AT with 18" resonators and CF cans (which btw is for sale)
