F.I exhaust hanging lower on drivers side

After install it looks pretty good, but it is a touch lower on the drivers side.. I know the instructions say to put washers on whichever side you want to

Default F.I exhaust hanging lower on drivers side

After install it looks pretty good, but it is a touch lower on the drivers side.. I know the instructions say to put washers on whichever side you want to bring down a bit, but the tips look aligned fine... its only the canister in the back that looks off... What can I do to line them up without throwing the tips out of wack?

Did you put equal amount of washer on each side? I know when I did mine I have to put a lot more on my passenger side to make them even. And I also had to put a lot more then a couple of washers on my z. It was like a nut and 5 washers to get them away from the bumper, ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371758522.769960.jpg

The problem is though, the tips on mine sit fine, its just the canister looks like it needs to go down a hair.

I had alignment issues too and the trick was to loosen the connections and twist the can.
I found that because the pipes have compound angles in them, doing this causes the mufflers and the tips to move up and down and side to side. You may not even need washers. Also make sure the end flanges of your resonators are perfectly level. Get help so someone at the back can eyeball things for you.
Trust me it can be straightened out.

For the price I think they should come with vbands that way adjusting by twisting would be a breeze.

The original version of the mufflers sat 3/8" lower than the lowest point of the stock exhaust. Almost 3 years ago we made a revision in the build process to the height of the mufflers. At the lowest point the front of our canisters sits no lower than the stock exhaust.

JAYNO20,

The height of the mufflers can be adjusted very easily. First and foremost prior to tightening the mufflers down, the back of the X Pipe needs to be level to the earth as stated in the installation instructions.

The hardware we use for the 3 bolt flange is 3/8" as the hole in the flange is 7/16". This gives you some adjustability both clockwise and counterclockwise. What we do is tighten the right side down first with the rotation so the tip is centered in the cutout. From there we put a level on the front bottom of both mufflers to ensure they are level. We then proceed and tighten the left side. 9 out of 10 times the tips line up perfectly in the cutouts. From there if you need to adjust the tip height, do so accordingly with the washers under the hanger.

I had the same problem and Tony's info fixed it up just fine. And the new exhausts don't scrape at all, no need to worry!

I have had no issues with scraping and I am lowered on Swift springs. People scraping these things must be driving in some very crappy areas.
