Default Baffled..GTHAUS exhaust w/ HFC..then CAI

First mod was the exhaust...sounded great. loud and clean. installed the stillen HFC's and GOD DAMN loud....THEN, installed my Stillen Gen 3 CAI...and the loudness was reduced to half....

Is it because of better air flow now??????

I honestly figured with the CAI that it would even sound louder...but NOPE..way wrong.

Thoughts???

Running super rich or super lean will change exhaust tone significantly.

Reset your battery and drive it hard for a few days.

Unplugging the battery for a few minutes will clear the learned fuel data and allow the ECU to re-learn more quickly than if it had to adjust from existing trim data.

Gotcha! I had no clue. I'll give it a shot tonight and see what happens. I plan on getting a tune in the next month or so. I mean, dont get me wrong the sound is still great. Its just when i got the HFC's installed it was amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Now with the cai installed its just great again.

If adding the CAI it reduced the sound. THAT IS A GREAT THING! As that combo was absurdly loud and annoying. I had it and ended up selling it for a FI TDX CBE with Hi Flow cats. Much better.

Maybe you're hearing more engine noise now from the intakes vs only exhaust noise before
