I've heard a lot of good things about the G3s. Now I'm curious about the new AAM intakes. Does anyone have those on their Z?? Any help is much appreciated

Stillen G3s or AAM intakes????
I've heard a lot of good things about the G3s. Now I'm curious about the new AAM intakes. Does anyone have those on their Z?? Any help is much appreciated guys. I would use the search feature but since the AAM intakes are new I haven't seen anyone posting a review about them. Wanna make a decision soon so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The differences are minimal. The AAM's have a sleeve you can remove at the MAF when it's tuned. You are sweating over maybe 2whp. You can sneeze and fart at the same time in motion and it will offset that difference. Get the G3's because it's proven, or get the AAM's because only a few people have them, idk. Just find the best deal.

Nope. I've been impatiently waiting. I just keep working on my journal streamlining it as a way to waste time.

Man I can't imagine how anxious you must feel lol
Ohh btw I'm considering either the invidia, tanabe, or berk exhaust for my Z. Still have decided which one for sure.

Well, I'm a big fan of mine. The Tanabe exhaust and a Y pipe with some resonated tp's or HFC's would be awesome. I've heard Berks with their HFC's and it's awesome too. The tips look similar to stock which I don't care for, but it sounds great. I can't comment on Invidia though, no one had it at the meets. Keep an eye out for mine if it doesn't work out with my new setup.

I have the AAM Intakes, powdercoated gloss black. And in terms of looks, they look pretty nice.
I do have some critiques, but minor at this time... Further testing needs to be done. Only real pressing matter for me right now is the AAM intakes are designed to be used with the Stock side PCV tubes, minus the resonance chambers. So if say you have the Z1 silicone side PCV tubes, they will not work. I had these so they were replaced by some flimsy tubing in there right now that I'm not 100% sure isn't getting kinked, so I've gotta get stock tubes to replace them.

Chris is right, our intake the PCV nipple on the intakes themselves are position for your to delete both sides PCV baffles/resonators and run the hose straight. On the driver side nothing needs to be done, simply remove the "box" and the hose will line up. On the passenger side, you just need to 1) remove the "box" and 2) flip the hose and everything should line up
With that being said, our intakes will NOT work with z1's hoses

Mid pipe diameter 2.75" which is no issue for NA cars, but when pushing big numbers, it may become a restriction, especially turbos. I'm not sure about superchargers though.
