K&N Drop in filters Mod
Ok,
I've done the searches and cant seem to get the information I'm looking for concerning the K&N Drop in filters mod. I know the K&N are plug and play but is there a mod for the MAF needed also? Is there a different MAF tube of sensor required? I am looking for an intake mod, looking for some modest gains for the biggest bang. Any help would be greatly apprciated, Thanks for looking. Nope. Straight plug and play with the K&Ns
You can consider some aftermarket post-MAF silicon tubes (there are a couple different options) that replace the corrugated rubber stock tubing up next to the throttle body. The filters and post-MAF tubes are very commonly done together, but not required. Both are very good bang for buck.

Don't mean to pull off topic, but speaking of the different options for post maf tubes whats the best way to go?
Any difference between brands? I'm looking to get some soon and leaning toward the Z1 ones but just curious if there is any reason I should go a different direction.

I personally like the Z1 brand because they are a forum sponsor and they represent the interest of Z owners in general. Other brands aren't necessarily Z oriented, which doesn't make them any better or worse quality wise, but it does affect my decision to purchase their products or not.
